Moleskine sketch book

Monday = Lame.
So usually once a week I will ask my friend Antho what should I listen to on Last.fm. Today he text me first and let me know that today is Strike Anywhere day.
Now for the drawing. I drew fat little Tim at the gym. I am not that buff, but a little guy that is buff and fat is hilarious to me.
They had a free UFC event this weekend which was awesome. Chan Sung Jung "The Korean Zombie" fought Leonard Garcia for the second time. I saw them fight last year in Sacramento at WEC's first Paper view and they won fight of the year for that fight. This one started as a slug fest and the Zombie took it to the ground and put Garcia in a "Twister" (A crazy submission created by Eddie Bravo). This is a doodle of the Korean Zombie I drew on Friday.

Pitch Animation - Part 2

So I have been testing outlining in Illustrator CS5. There is a new brush tool that is awesome. I just need to figure out how to make the line weight more consistent. The stroke weight started really thin when I first started outlining, and then got thicker and thicker at the end. Maybe I was pressing to hard or maybe a setting I messed up.  There is a few problems with the animation a couple pops in the movement and some flowing issues with the movement. Other than that not to bad for about 5 hours of work.

Pitch Animation

Since I have been brushing up on my animation. I did a little practice using the Preston Blair animation book. Here is a rough of a pitcher throwing a baseball. Using the three basics techniques Action line + Skeleton + Detail to build the animation up as I went along. I think I am going to take it in to illustrator and add some final clean up.

The animation was created in Flash. I think it would of been easier to do it traditional, but it was a lot easier to test the animation.

Walk Cycle 3

Finally added a little cartoon me into the walk cycle. The lines are a little funky, because I used a pressure sensitive tablet. There is stuff I still need to work on like nesting and tweening. Not to bad though.

If you can't see the animation it is a flash file so jPhones and jPads sorry no worky.

Moleskine sketch book

Lunch time drawing.
Practicing drawing chicks oops... I mean ladies. I really don't like the elf eyes I started to draw when I was trying to simplify the eye.
Another mma fighter this guy looks similar to Anderson Silva mixed with a John Jones.

While listening to Nate Dogg _RIP

Moleskine sketch book

I have been pretty busy hustling so, I haven't really had time to sketch. I finally got some time to do a few this week.
This guy kinda looks like Forest Griffin.

Everyone loves Wolverine.

Beach Mural

All done! Friday night I finished the black outline on the back ground and then added rough outlines of a clown fish (nemo looking fish) and a sea horse. I add some red lines and a clover/club to the surf board.
Then Saturday I colored in the fish and seahorse and then added Coulter to the surfboard.

Beach Mural

So Friday night I worked till about 1 on the mural. The outline on all the background is all done. I added a turtle and a starfish. It is really close to being finished. I just have to add a few more fish and paint the surf board. I forgot to take a picture of the starfish. I hope to finish it up this week.

Beach Mural

Since I have been sick it has been a slow process on the painting. Since there is a baby shower at the house next weekend I tried to finish the background and the following week I will add the characters. All of the back ground is colored and I am adding a simple black outline to everything to clean up the lines and make the colors really POP!
