Working on a fun project at work and learning some new stuff. Here is some icons I made for the project. I created them in Illustrator. First I made some rough sketches and then cleaned them up and added shading in Illustrator. Sorry for the Copyright stuff over the top of them.

Dry erase board
My friend Cave at work has a dry erase board in his office. It is a good place to do a quick sketch at the end of the day.

iPad Sketch of Wolverine
So while watching "The Wire" and "TUF" I have
been sketching on the iPad. This one took about two nights. I was just messing
around with the different brushes and stuff. I think there was an update to the
app because the navigation looked a little different to me. It still works
great and I really like this app.

Moleskine
So the last day of the week and the last day of the month I finished the last page in my sketch book. Clouds are coming into the valley and it was nice and cool outside so I figure why not do a little bit of drawing. Alistair Overeem vs. Brock Lesnar are fighting in December and it will be awesome. Here is a couple of doodles I did of them.

Moleskine / Notes
Sometimes I wish there was an extra hour or two in the day so I could get stuff done. Then I think if there was more time I would just have more stuff I would have to do. At least I still have time to get some drawing/doodling in. Here are a few sketches from my sketch book.

The Maxx - jPad - Sketch
So the old FB let me find my friend/1rst art teacher. Bobby was the coolest cause he had tons of comics and he could create and draw his own characters. I loved to draw and my dad asked him to give me lessons. Every Saturday from when I was in 6th grade till prob my freshman year of high school he would teach me how to draw. Everything I know about drawing is based on what he taught me. So this iPad drawing is from one of his comics I used to read. So thanks to Bobby and my parents I can draw this awesome stuff.

Drawing on the iPad!
My aunt showed me this app on her iPad that is kind of like Photoshop meets a sketch book. What was really cool to is she had a stylus for it so I didn't have to draw it with my finger. The app is called Sketch Club. I just used the layers features and some of the cool brushes it has. Can't wait to see what else it can do.

Family in town.
So my family came to visit this weekend my uncle, aunt, cousins,
and their kids. It was good to see all of them. This also means I got to doodle and draw all
weekend. My cousins Miles and Mia had some cool Crayola paper that only special
markers worked on so I spent about an hour trying to figure it out, and I still
have no clue how it works.
Here are some of the doodles.

Flyer
So I made a another flyer. These are fun since they give me all the information about the shows and then say make something cool. I was trying to use an image from Akira an awesome anime movie, but found this one of Rock Lee from Naruto and thought it looked cooler. So I drew it out and then inked it scanned it and added the text in PhotoShop. I think my normal hand writing is a little hard to read sometimes and it takes along time to do the script or fancy text thats why I do it in PhotoShop.

One step closer to printing
I made my first screen last night. Not as hard as I thought. The neighbors are probably a little mad cause when I was washing them out it was really loud. Just need to tape everything off and start spilling ink all over the garage.

Work, work, work, work, and freelance
Super busy these last two weeks. Here are a few projects I have been working on.
The tool box! So I was asked if I could add Zebra stripes to this tool box. I didn't realize it was in two pieces and was a legit tool box. So I started work on this guy. First masked it off with tape then my projector to a *insert word here*. Then I drew out the stripes and then took a razor blade and cut them out. It still needs to be sanded and painted.
I was asked to sketch up a picture of grumpy with a Boston Red Sox hat and golf club.
Antho asked me to make a rough sketch of a koozie Bob mocked up. Anyone who turns down helping design a koozie has issues. Something that keeps beer and soda cans cold, and your hand warm at the same time. Plus it has art on it you know it has to be awesome.
Since it was so cool I did a mock up of it on a koozie.
Then I have my own projects I am working on.
I am doing all of this work plus my 40 hours a week of regular work. So I am having no problem keeping busy. While writing this post up I just got a bunch of freelance Sweet!. When it rains it pours. Can't complain, life is good when life is busy.

Moleskine sketch book
Batman Begins was on TV last night. Christian Bale is probably one of my favorite guys to play batman. The voice he uses when he is dressed as Batman is a little much, but I can ignore it. Anyways I was just doing a some sketches while I was watching and here they are.

Moleskine sketch book
Here is a little Sailor Jerry style eagle. I modified it a little bit, but it still has a similar style. I started to use a Col-Erase pencil but changed to a ball point pen when I kept erasing lines I didn't like. There is a few things I still want to add like more tail feathers and maybe clean the body up a little more. Not to bad for a quick sketch though.

Swamp People: Troy Sound Board
It was Cave's birthday last week and his new favorite show is Swamp People on the History channel. The people on this show are awesome catching alligators, snakes, and anything else in the swamp you can eat or sell. I told cave I would make him a "Troy" soundboard and here it is.

MOSHING!
Wikipedia.org: Moshing is a dance in which participants push and/or slam into each other. They also flail their limbs to breakdowns of hardcore punk and its sub-genres, which is more commonly seen with those genres. It is most associated with aggressive music genres, such as hardcore punk and heavy metal. It is primarily done to live music, although it can be done to recorded music.
This is a sketch I have been doing all week. French Exit is playing with The Missing 23rd and Strike Anywhere in Ventura this weekend. It will be an awesome show. Trying to get tickets has been a pain though it took me 4 or 5 tries on this stupid ticket website. I had to call them and my bank a few times it was ridiculous. Oh well, I finally got tickets yesterday I sure hope they are at the will call box. If your in Ventura on Saturday you should go to the show!
I was listening to Good Riddance while drawing this.
